Having played and performed locally since 1992 on the tenor saxophone, Peter has become a celebrity as a Jazz and World Music performer as well as an improviser.
"The soprano saxophone had always been my prefered horn because unlike the alto or the tenor saxophones, the instrument does not imply a sound directly associated with Jazz and has a timeless coloring.
While the soprano horn is a harder memebr of the sax family to play, it tends to be more flexible in acheiving a variety of sounds."
On the soprano, Peter's been working on a sound similar to that of the double-reed "Sorna", an instrument used in folklore Iranian ensembles.
